The rear-wheel-drive version produces 309bhp and 380Nm of torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds and boasts a WLTP range of up to 510km. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant develops 443bhp and 560Nm of torque, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds, and offers a WLTP range of up to 470km.

The Atto 3 Evo switches from a 400V to an 800V electrical system. It supports DC fast charging at up to 220kW, with a claimed 10 to 80 per cent charging time of around 29 minutes. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality is also retained, allowing the battery to power external devices at up to 3kW.

BYD Atto 3 EVO Exterior Design

The biggest change on the BYD Atto 3 EVO 2026 is its sharper design. You now get slimmer LED headlights, a cleaner bumper layout, and a more sporty front grille area. The rear gets connected LED tail lamps with a wider light signature. Exterior updates include:

• New aerodynamic alloy wheels
• Sharper daytime running lights
• Revised rear spoiler
• Flush door handles
• Updated EV badging

The SUV still keeps its family-friendly shape. That matters because many buyers want comfort more than aggressive styling.

On the inside, the Atto 3 Evo remains familiar, but the gear selector has moved to a steering-column-mounted stalk. Tips Before Buying New-Gen BYD Atto 3 EVO

You want to drive as far as possible on every charge. As a veteran car buyer guide, I always teach my readers the best secrets. Here are the top tips for your electric SUV.

• Drive in Eco Mode: A button on the console changes the car to Eco Mode. This setting saves battery juice in slow traffic.
• Use the seat heaters: Heating your seat takes much less power than blowing hot air around the whole big cabin.
• Keep tyres full: Low air in your tyres makes the electric motor work too hard. Check your tyre air pressure once a month.
• Drop the extra weight: Do not leave heavy golf clubs or sports bags in the trunk. Heavyweight drains the battery faster.
• Let the car brake for you: Turn on the high-energy recovery setting. When you take your foot off the gas pedal, the car slows down and puts free energy right back into the battery.
