2026 Toyota Hilux Exterior Design

You will immediately notice how the front profile looks much bolder than the outgoing model. Toyota designers sculpted a squarer, more aggressive honeycomb-mesh front grille flanked by slim LED headlamps and signature daytime running lights. A prominent gloss-black center bar proudly displays block “TOYOTA” lettering instead of the traditional badge. Down below, a heavy-duty silver skid plate and integrated LED fog lamps frame the rugged bumper. Along the sides, squared-off wheel-arch cladding, practical side steps, and sharp 17-inch alloy wheels emphasize its tough ladder-frame character. The rear profile rounds things out with C-shaped LED tail-lamps and a robust tailgate step for easy cargo bed access.

2026 Toyota Hilux Interior and Cabin Highlights

Step inside the double-cab cabin and you find a layout heavily inspired by modern luxury SUVs. The redesigned dashboard centers around a crisp 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get comfortable powered and ventilated front seats, manual climate control, a wireless phone charging pad, and an 8-speaker audio setup. Practicality remains a core strength with multiple storage cubbies, a cooled glovebox, and a spacious rear bench featuring a central armrest with cup holders.

2026 Toyota Hilux Powertrain

Performance comes from the trusted 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor. This powerhouse kicks out 204 horsepower and a massive 500 Nm of pulling power. Every variant routes power exclusively through a smooth 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Depending on your choice, you can opt for the rear-wheel-drive setup or the dedicated 4×4 system equipped with a low-range transfer case and an electronic differential lock for conquering severe terrain.

2026 Toyota Hilux Safety & Features

Coming to the features list, the Toyota Hilux is expected to get dual-zone climate control, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, connected car tech, and ventilated front seats for added comfort.

On the safety front, the Hilux is likely to get Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), a 360-degree camera, 7 airbags, hill hold assist (HHA), hill descent control (HDC), electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and front and rear parking sensors. Another highlight is that the 9th-gen Hilux secured a 5-star crash safety rating from the Australian NCAP, putting it ahead on safety.
