The 2026 Maybach GLS, powered by a 550-hp V8 engine, starts at around ₹1.55 crore (estimated, before taxes and import duties). However, Mercedes-Benz is expected to raise the price for the next model year. As a result, the SUV could cost the equivalent of ₹1.58 crore or more before India’s import taxes and on-road charges. Since this luxury SUV is sold as a fully imported model in India, the final on-road price will be much higher.

How to Choose the Best Luxury SUV for Your Family?

Choosing a high-end SUV is a big decision. You need to think about what your family actually needs every day. Do you need three rows of seats for carpool duty? If yes, a standard SUV might work better. But if you want maximum space and quiet comfort for four people, the Maybach is the ultimate choice.

I always tell my clients to test the ride quality. Take your family on a test drive over a bumpy road. You will quickly feel how the Maybach uses cloud-based data to adjust its suspension before you even hit the bump. Keep your budget in mind, and remember that buying a Maybach means you get top-tier safety technology to protect the people you love most.

Conclusion

The 2027 Mercedes Maybach GLS 680 looks set to raise the standard for ultra-luxury SUVs. You get a stronger electrified V8 engine, refined styling, improved cabin technology, and one of the finest rear seat experiences in the industry. If your priority is effortless comfort, premium craftsmanship, and flagship performance, this SUV deserves a place at the top of your shortlist. Industry expectations suggest it will remain one of the most desirable chauffeur-driven luxury SUVs when it reaches global markets.
