MG 4X EV launch: Bookings for the MG 4X EV start in China from May 11, with a 610 km range, and safety features will be available with a semi-solid battery.

MG 4X EV Launch

A big change is coming in the world of electric vehicles (EVs). If you want to avoid the hassle of charging your car frequently, then this news is for you. A new electric SUV, MG 4X, is set to be launched in China soon, which will be equipped with the latest ‘semi-solid state battery’ technology. This car will provide a tremendous range of up to 610 kilometers on a single full charge, and its performance will be excellent even in adverse weather conditions like extreme cold. The company has confirmed that bookings for this powerful car will start from May 11.

Talking about range and battery options, the new MG 4X will be available in two different battery options. If you opt for the 53.9 kWh battery, you will get a range of 510 km on a full charge. While the larger 64.2 kWh battery will take you on a long journey of up to 610 km on a single charge. Another big advantage of this new battery technology is its super-fast charging. Current electric cars take hours to charge, but with the semi-solid battery, this time will be reduced significantly, making it very easy to go on long drives.

You might be wondering why this ‘semi-solid battery’ is so special. Currently, most electric cars use lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are good, but they have been known to catch fire or overheat. However, this new technology uses a solid material along with a liquid electrolyte. This makes the battery more stable and doubly safe, reducing the risk of accidents or short-circuits.

Automobile experts also believe that this technology will change the future of the EV industry in the coming times. China is already leading the world in electric vehicle technology. Many companies are constantly researching new battery technologies, low-cost and ultra-fast charging, which will charge a car in just a few minutes in the coming times.
